Five Ways to Get Involved with the WTA

Whether you are already a participant in the wellness tourism industry, are looking to launch a wellness travel initiative or are simply interested in learning more about how to incorporate wellness into your travels, we have a way for you to get involved and become part of our growing community.

First, a bit about the Wellness Tourism Association (WTA.) Incorporated as a not-for-profit in the United States of America, and launched in January 2018, the WTA is a global network for qualifying DMOs, hotels/resorts/retreats, tour operators, travel advisors, wellness practitioners, media and others in the global wellness tourism industry, plus those looking to support the sustainable future of wellness tourism for the global good.

Now, as the industry begins to slowly and smartly recover, we are making the community more inclusive and accessible. Here’s a list of membership categories with criteria per category.

#2 Apply for a Standard level of Membership

A annual fee of $250 covers individuals, companies, brands and DMOs who meet category criteria.

Benefits of Standard Membership

  • Inclusion in our online Directory of Members
  • The WTA E-newsletter
  • Access to summaries of all reports/surveys conducted by the WTA
  • Invitation to attend the Annual General Meeting
  • Use of the WTA logo

#3 Apply for a Premium level of Membership

Annual fees for Premium: $300, Solo, $500, Company, $1,500, Brand/DMO. All must meet criteria for their category.

In addition to all benefits of Standard Membership, Premier also includes:

  • Access to Log-In section to download the database with contact details of all members
  • Access to all surveys with full reports
  • Opportunity to be included in articles with media partners (Company, Brand & DMO only)

#4 Become a Partner

Partners may be companies or organizations which are not directly engaged in the wellness tourism industry, but which are interested in supporting and advancing the wellness tourism industry. Partners should be willing to support the WTA financially or “in kind” to further the goals and objectives of the WTA as defined by the Board and supported by the members.
