2021 wellness travel consumer survey

The WTA is looking to work with a partner to help educate industry stakeholders about  consumer wants and needs. This is an opportunity to raise the profile of your organization and gain valuable insights into what consumers are thinking as travel resumes and the industry recovers.

OVERVIEW OF PROJECT

Our 2021 Wellness Travel Consumer Survey will run from mid April to June 30th and focus on what wellness-minded consumers might be willing to pay more for as the tourism industry recovers and they feel more comfortable traveling.

The 2020 survey focused on motivations for taking a wellness vacation post- pandemic and collected responses from close to 4,000 consumers, 80% of which were from North America. Presentation of the data included a webinar open to the industry who preregistered and several additional sessions where takeaways were shared, including one for the World Travel Market.

Articles on the data were also published in numerous trade publications, including the U.K.-based Spa Business HandbookHotel Business, Professional Beauty  and others.

All those who respond to this 2021 Wellness Travel Consumer Survey will be eligible to receive a $1,000 U.S. gift card from Amazon OR $1,000 U.S. towards any trip they take before the end of 2021.

10-minute presentation opportunity in the WTA webinar presenting the results of the 2021 Wellness Travel Consumer Survey.

Your organization’s messaging included in WTA newsletter distributed to Members, Partners, and others in the industry who have subscribed to the free monthly newsletter.

Inclusion in the follow-up report prepared and distributed to WTA Members and made available to the entire industry.

Recognition as a survey sponsor in the dissemination of all press releases.

A thank you mention in all webinars where the survey data is presented.

Social media posts, both those promoting the survey and those announcing the results of the survey.

An article – written by the sponsor – about the benefits of the sponsor’s organization, posted on the Travel To Wellness web site and included in newsletter to over 13,000 subscribers.

DATA TO USE IN YOUR OWN MARKETING STRATEGIES 

In the survey, we will be asking consumers what amenities and offerings are most important to them as the industry recovers. As a WTA survey partner, you will have access to a deep dive into the analytics of the data collected.  Beyond the collection of demographic data the survey will focus on the needs as wants of consumers as the industry recovers:
